Multi Stage Rockets
Dual Deployment Parachute
In-House Flight Computers
Initial Testing will begin at Parkway Model Flying Club, where we’ll conduct early-stage prototype launches using small-scale, low-power rockets.
Intermediate Launches will take place at the Midlands Rocketry Club, where we’ll transition to mid-power rockets under the guidance of experienced rocketeers, ensuring safe and reliable performance at higher thrust levels.
Final Launches will be conducted during the Aerospace Field Course in Wales, where our most advanced and complex rockets will be launched in front of the University’s second-year Aerospace Engineering cohort, showcasing the culmination of our design, testing, and integration efforts
One of the aims of the R&D team is to develop the skills and technology required to compete in the Mach-X competition in future years.
Mach-X is the UK's advanced high-power rocketry competition for university teams, challenging students to design and launch complex vehicles that often incorporate multi-stage separation and dual-deployment recovery systems. The event focuses on achieving high altitudes (up to 3.0 km) from the Machrihanish Airbase spaceport, pushing participants to master advanced rocketry technologies.
